Free spirit Piet Hein Eek – has featured strongly in the London design festival with his pop up shop – Owen Loves that he takes worthless industrial scrap and transforms it into idiosyncratic aesthetic gems. Recycling at its most fabulous!

Cutting Edgy
Can you believe these are paper cuts… Mister Rob Ryan is home grown boy straight out of London who’s done work for Vogue and lots of other amazing stuff. We love his paper cuts and quirky sad happy verses but we hate to think how many Band Aids he gets through…

3-D Tea
Owen loves Tea especially taken out of beautiful lacy cups (and we're not talking under garments mind you). Clare Coles has these dreamy delicate tea cups in her latest collection. She does rather gorgeous wallpaper too but we'll save that for another rainy day!

Staple riot....
Uber cool Dutch company Oooms has these funky staples that you can accessorize with... but they are goldplated so be a bit picky - not for your average office memo then... Owen loves them as a new age tie pin

Radici .... Cucina
Ingredients:
· 4 eggs, separated
· 3-4 tablespoons sugar
· 1 cup (250 ml) milk
· juice of 2 organic oranges
· juice of an organic lemon
· grated zest of one orange
· 2 cups (500 ml) whipped cream
· 4 eggs, separated
· 3-4 tablespoons sugar
· 1 cup (250 ml) milk
· juice of 2 organic oranges
· juice of an organic lemon
· grated zest of one orange
· 2 cups (500 ml) whipped cream
Preparation:
Beat the yolks with the sugar until the mixture is yellow and fluffy, then mix in the fruit juice. Bring the milk to a boil with the orange zest, let it cool, and add it to the yolks, passing it through a strainer. Heat the mixture over a double boiler, stirring it gently with a spoon, until it thickens - be careful not to let it boil, or it will curdle. Allow it to cool.
When the milk mixture has cooled, beat the whites to firm peaks. Fold the egg whites and the whipped cream into it. Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine following manufacturer’s instructions.
Delicious served with chocolate bickies or even chocolate gelato!
